01 About
Hoyga Hodan was founded by Hodan Abdullahi Mohamed as a platform to inspire, empower, and support women and youth through entrepreneurship, creative expression, and community. What began as a single gathering in Mogadishu has grown into a nationwide movement — a series of sold-out chapters that became trending cultural moments across Somalia and the diaspora, each one growing the network of women, founders, and creatives who carry the mission forward.

Chapter 1 · The Beginning
Mogadishu · September 2024
The inaugural Hoyga Hodan gathering. A confident debut that proved women-led creativity and enterprise could fill a room and capture a city's imagination — setting the tone for everything that followed.
Chapter 2 · Momentum
Mogadishu · February 2025
Building on the debut, Chapter II nearly doubled attendance and introduced a full business exhibition and a mentorship corner connecting established entrepreneurs with emerging young founders.
Chapter 3 · Culture & Celebration
Mogadishu · December 2025
A vibrant New Year cultural night where Somali heritage — Baraanbur, Dhaanto, henna, and craft — met a modern celebration of women's joy, creativity, and community.
Chapter 4 · The Expansion · Upcoming
Baraawe · April 2026
The movement's first chapter beyond Mogadishu. Hoyga Hodan arrives in the historic coastal city of Baraawe to open new opportunities for regional development, local talent, and community unity.
